More beetles in this post from a trip a bit north. The colours on these are amazing, and not really sure if the camera was able to do justice to what we saw with our eyes. (again mobile camera - Samsung S10e, no lens attachments)
Thanks to my vigilant friends, who were very helpful in pointing out any little creatures on the entire trip.
The first was found in the southern hills of Hylsfjorden. This was a particularly foggy day, with a heavy fog that moved in just as we drove towards the vantage point. The little one has amazing green sheen on the edges of the wings. And the fog caused a bit of dew on the body of the beetle.
The second one was found in FolgeFonna Nationalpark. It was a beautiful hike along a river in the valley of Bondhus. The light was waning already, and the beetle was moving very fast. The snaps that I managed to get were not particularly good, but as its said locally "ja vel!".
This one had a purple sheen on the edges, quite similar in shape to the one above. I will need to read up a bit more on the local varieties before saying any more on them,
